NQT Conferences - Primary

The conferences for NQTs in Primary Schools, are personalised to meet the needs of the NQTs and address aspects of all of the Teacher Standards.

These sessions will provide opportunities for delegates to:

-Extend their learning

-Develop their understanding of teaching and learning

-Develop professional relationships with colleagues from other schools.

Topics to include:

Climate for Learning; Questioning; Communicating with Parents; Meeting the needs of all learners; Managing Supporting Adults; SEND

Format of the programme:

All sessions will start with a ‘clinic’ where NQTs will be able to share concerns and seek advice from an experienced colleague and end with ‘focus planning’ where NQTs are able to suggest what they would like to have feature in the next session.

We will also facilitate focus visits, in pairs/triads, to partner schools to observe learning in different settings.

The programme will culminate with NQTs presenting what they have learned in their journey to becoming fully qualified and reflecting on what the next steps in their progression will be as they develop in to life-long skilled, reflective and highly effective practitioners.
