Recently Qualified Teacher Programme - Primary

The Recently Qualified Teacher Programme is for teachers in their second or third year of teaching.

The RQT Programme will provide bespoke opportunities for delegates to:

-Further develop their own classroom practice through reflection, discussion and action research

-Establish professional relationships with colleagues from other schools

-Develop leadership skills

-Reflect on their professional learning and plan for their continued professional development.

Some questions that may be explored on the programme:

-What skills and qualities do I need to develop in order to flourish in a school environment beyond the NQT year?

-What will further develop my teaching so that I am confident to meet the needs of a range of learners in an engaging, creative way?

-What are the key messages of current educational research and how can I incorporate them into my practice?

-How can I become a key member of the school and have impact beyond my classroom?

-What opportunities are there to develop my leadership skills and how can I make the most of these?

-How can I ensure my own continued professional development?  How will I know when I am ready to take the next step?
